Ukrposhta has issued a new postage stamp "Ukrainian Dream", symbolizing the inflexibility of the Ukrainian people.
The stamp is dedicated to the world's largest aircraft AN-225 "Mriya", which the Russian occupiers destroyed at the end of February in Gostomel.
Stamps "Ukrainian Dream" came out with a circulation of 3 million copies.
The head of Ukrposhta, Igor Smilyansky, said that the sketch for the new stamp was drawn by eleven-year-old Sofia Kravchuk from Lyuboml, Volyn region.
New Ukrainian dream
“During the national telethon in Gostomel, in front of the “Mriya” destroyed by the occupiers, we presented our new brand – “Ukrainian Mriya”. It was developed even before the war, within the framework of the contest “What is Ukraine for me?”, in which 11-year-old Sofia Kravchuk from Lyuboml, Volyn region, won,” Igor Smilyansky shared.
6,134 participants took part in the competition, from which the organizers received 10,276 works - drawings and photographs. The competition brought together participants from eleven countries, namely Australia, Israel, Italy, Canada, Cyprus, Norway, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine.
The childhood dream of the author of the work, Sofia Kravchuk, is about a happy future for Ukraine. It is associated with the winged Mriya. In Sophia's drawing, the world's largest and most powerful aircraft AN-225 Mriya, decorated with pink flowers, flies towards the stars.
“We will build a new “Ukrainian Mriya”, which, of course, will have powerful wings,” said Igor Smilyansky.
